Rapidly Growing Chinese Automobile Market

In order to respond to the rapidly growing Chinese automobile market, MANDO is entering the Chinese market in full scale by dividing it into the four regions: Dongbei region, Hwa-Chong region, Hwa-Tong region and inland region. We are making detailed strategies with the plan to establish 10 independent or joint corporations in the four regions, investing a total of $110 million by 2007. We are also entering upon exploring a market for Hyundai automobiles and nearby Chinese automobile manufacturers through the establishment of "MANDO (Beijing) Automotive Chassis System Co., Ltd."in Beijing, China in January 2004. We will invest $6 million with the 100% equity of MANDO, and secure a base in the Hwa-Chong region. In addition, we are also conducting discussions of various angles simultaneously in order to secure a base in the inland region of China centering on Chongqing, Sichuan Province. MANDO plans to make more than $1 billion sales in China by 2010.
